Design and Illustration created for Police Scotland's campaign on alcohol related violence. The main challenge of the campaign was to develop a illustrative style that engaged a young target audience with a unappealing subject. From this A comic strip/graphic novel was developed.
Created in Collaboration with Paul McGhee:
I was the lead designer and illustrator on a collaborative campaign between the Scottish Government and the Police Services. The campaign was designed to inspire young children interested in a career in the Police and to help children to realise that such a career would need great reading, writing and counting skills!
Publication created for the Children and Young Persons Strategy for 2016/17
I led the design for the national Scottish campaign for Student Safety in 2015. The brief was to create illustrations and graphics that would appeal to new and returning students. With the help of a little 3D perspective I created an illustrated campus that could be explored and even help you keep safe (lets hope)
A recent campaign designed to raise awareness of support services for FGM throughout Scotland.
I led the design process for a recent Scottish national campaign raising awareness of Domestic Abuse. The idea behind the campaign was to show that emotional control can be domestic abuse and that this emotional control can come in many forms that might be ignored or go unnoticed.
I then wanted to use the silhouettes to represent how a person can have their life altered or controlled by another individual. In this case a loved one or partner.
I recently led the design for a new arts network. Below are examples of the branding and how this was used to create posters and pop up banners for launch events.
The Ayrshire Youth Arts Network is a newly formed arts hub located through Ayrshire.
I led the design and illustration for the Edinburgh Oxjam Music Festival 2015.
I assisted on the design, typesetting and art working for the Official Festival Fringe Programme 2014.
The festival Fringe is one of the largest arts Festivals in Europe with a annual publication print run of over 400,000.
